Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Assistant Director of Finance within a Public Sector organisation based in the North West. This will be for an initial 6 months however could be extended due to work load.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Producing financial board reports and sticking to tight deadlines
  • Challenging consultants and Senior non financial staff with Patient Level Information Costing (PLICs) and developing plans for future efficiency savings
  • Accountable for the monthly financial reporting, putting together and presenting monthly financial and activity performance narratives at monthly board meetings
  • Proactively working with and engaging clinicians in financial management issues
  • Liaising with senior stakeholders and budget holders
  • Board reporting and engaging with board members to discuss progress on key projects and also presented the financial performance reports to the board
  • Excellent management skills leading a team through a period of change

 

Person:

  • Excellent communication skills and can liaise with senior staff
  • NHS experience is essential
