Interim Chief Accountant | Local Government | 6 months + | Remote Working

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Local Authority to recruit an Interim Chief Accountant for an initial 6 months, as they undergo a period of positive transformation. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically astute Finance professional to lead and develop a high progressive team during this period of change. This role can be done completely remotely and will include;

• Lead on the Authority's closedown of Accounts 
• Lead on Council's treasury management function 
• Accounts preparation for Audit - being the main point of contact with auditors
• Review of processes and controls - identifying and implementing improvements
• Management and development of small team

The ideal candidate;

• Be CCAB/CIMA qualified
• Well versed in Local Government Account Closedown
