Contract Manager| Barnsley | £40,500-£44,000 | Permanent

Client: 

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working exclusively with a public sector organisation in Barnsley, to recruit a Contracts Manager.

The organisation operates a hybrid working policy operating a mandatory 3days in office;2days working from home

This role will be ideally suited to a candidate with significant experience of contract and performance management within a public sector or a commercially driven environment

Role Duties:

  • Directly responsible for the management of service providers in respect of value for money and contract compliance
  • Clarifying specifications and placing contracts in accordance with PCR2015
  • Working under national frameworks
  • Liaise and control communication channers with key suppliers to ensure value for money
  • Managing expenditure
  • Ensure compliance with Council’s Commercial Strategy and Contract Procedure Rules
  • Supervise the junior team and provide guidance to Contract and Governance Officers within organisation

Individual:

  • Extensive experience of contract and performance management within the public sector
  • Experience of commercial negotiation
  • Strong contract management skills, successfully ensuring compliance
  • Previous supervision experience within a role
