Castlefield Recruitment are currently looking for a Contract Manager to join a leading public sector organisation in Wakefield. The role will be based in offices within easy reach of road networks around Yorkshire and offers an attractive agile working environment.
 

The Role:

The Contract Manager plays a key role within the organisation’s commercial function, holding responsibility for a number of large contracts across Yorkshire and the North East.

Duties will include:

  • Provide comprehensive advice on specific contract matters to both internal and external stakeholders ensuring compliance with OJEU regulations
  • Develop contract strategies at 7 different areas across Yorkshire and the North East
  • Support staff in contract tenders, invitations to tender, response review and contract award decisions
  • Represent the client on a national basis, ensuring collaboration across a number of similar organisations
  • Ensure important KPI targets for contracts are met or exceeded
  • Assist in the supervision of a team of Contract Officers

 

Person:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working within a similar Contract Management role
  • MCIPS or working towards qualification is highly desirable
  • Strong public sector experience is essential
