Client:
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a large public sector organisation in the North West, who are looking to recruit a Business Accountant on an Fixed Term basis for an initial 12 month period.
Duties:
- Prepare to receive and provide monthly financial performance for budget holders and divisional members of staff, ensuring that all reports are meaningful and produced in a timely fashion
- Ensure that the resources required to deliver the divisions service plans and targets are identified, costed and translated into budgets, that are realistic yet challenging and demonstrate improvements in efficiency
- Produce high quality monthly financial performance reports and complex calcualtions for budgets and costing.
- Review the financial reporting needs on a regular basis and undertake work as necessary to meet new or changing information needs both internally and externally
- Responsible for the budget setting, business planning and preparation of business cases
- Ensure that proper financial controls are in line with governance, maintained and all financial procedure documentation is in place
- Provide financial support for non-clinical service agreements and ensure timely and accurate finance are undertaken in collaboration with other finance departments
Person:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to relay financial information to non-financial staff
- Strong excel skills
- Working towards qualification
- Experience managing and driving forward teams
