Deputy Director of Finance (Deputy S151)

Interim Head of Finance (Deputy Section 151) | 6 months + | Remote Working | Public Sector

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a reputable Local Authority to recruit an Interim Head of Finance (Deputy Section 151) on an initial 6 month interim basis. This is an excellent role to join an organisation going through a period of change, and will be working remotely.

• Leading a small Finance team and acting as Deputy Section 151 Officer to support the forward planning and Financial Strategy of the Council
• Supporting the development of effective financial strategies to ensure statutory financial duties are met and the Council is able to deliver its strategic priorities
• Supporting the Corporate Management Team in ensuring that the council maintains its financial stability and risks are identified
• Deputising for the S151 Officer during a period of organisational change

The person;

• CCAB/CIMA qualified, or equivalent with a strong technical skillset
• Experience within Local Government Finance
