Director of Estates, London, £100,000 - £115,000 PA + attractive benefits package (permanent)

Client:

We are looking for a Director of Estates for a Private Healthcare organisation experiencing an exciting period of expansion and growth. The role will provide responsibility for the management and development of a state of the art estate (including hospitals) as the company expands its operations. It will work closely with key clinical and non-clinical stakeholders. Employees have access to an attractive benefits package including private medical cover.

Role:

• Ensure the effective management and technical control of Estate Services (in-house and contracted out) including: Catering; Portering; Cleaning; Laundry/Linen Services; Waste Management; Security; Car Parking; Pest Control and non-emergency Patient Transport across all sites
• Act as ‘Authorised Officer’ for the management of contracted services, ensuring that they are delivered to agreed contracts and that any agreed contract variations are properly documented
• Establish key relationships with Senior Management and external providers of services to the business
• Active member of the Senior Leadership Team
• Oversee projects relating to disposal of older sites, refurbishment of clinical workspaces and future site relocations
• Designated Person in the terms of HTM Policies and principles of healthcare engineering:
  • Decontamination lead
  • Designated Person (HV)” for High Voltage System
  • Senior Authorised Person” for Medical Gas Piped System
  • Responsible person (water) for the control of Legionella, safe hot water, cold water and drinking systems
  • Nominated Fire Officer
  • Contribute to the management of the corporate risk register

Person:

• Looking for a senior estates professional with significant experience in a similar role – medical/healthcare Estates exposure would be preferred
• Would suit a Director of Estates who is comfortable working within a 5* customer focussed environment
• The successful candidate will need the ability to operate flexibly without the structure of a very large corporate organisation/Trust
• Opportunity to contribute to/shape the development of the future company estate and overall policy
