Client:
Castlefield Recruitment are working with a Local Government organisation in the West Midlands in order to recruit a Finance Manager on a 6 - 12 month interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to join a large public sector organisation and develop within their career. The office is back up and running however they are offering hybrid working or fully remote.

Role:

  • To be responsible for the co-ordination of the financial forecast reporting and to lead on the strategic budget process
  • To work with the Senior Leadership Teams to define, agree and deliver service priorities to the delivery of the Medium-Term Financial Strategy
  • To apply technical expertise/professional analysis to high level problem resolution
  • Attend and contribute positively to key meetings including but not limited to Board meetings and the Senior Leadership Team

Person:
The successful candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • Managerial experience
  • Previous experience within Local Government is essential
  • Previous experience within Children’s Services is beneficial
