Castlefield Recruitment have been tasked with partnering with a highly reputable public sector organisation who are looking to recruit a Finance Manager into the team on an interim basis. The successful candidate will be joining an established and supportive team whilst they go through a period of organisational change.
This is the ideal role for an experience interim Accountant with experience operating within the public sector. The organisation currently operates on a hybrid work policy with 3 days onsite required out of their Bradford office (free onsite parking).
The role:
- Support the Senior Finance Management Team with the development and implementation of the Finance strategy
- Develop Finance policies in line with changes to employment and taxation legislation and statutory requirements
- Working with the Senior Finance Manager to review, update and test the Business Continuity plan for the business critical functions Payroll and Accounts Payable
- Represent the Finance Department in organisational project teams to support change initiatives.
- Support the Senior Finance Manager with the Finance team operational planning, self-assessment processes and the development, implementation and review of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
The candidate:
- A qualified Accountant or possess appropriate experience
- Experience of operating within a public sector organisation
- Advanced IT skills comprising Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SAP or equivalent
- Be able to interview and start at short notice
