Castlefield Recruitment are pleased to be working with a public sector organisation in York who are seeking a Finance Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This organisation are providing a vital service within the not-for-profit sector and boast a supportive and enriching work environment. They have earmarked this position as a pivotal hire and will offer the successful candidate a salary of c.£50,000 (DOE) with a fantastic package and routes of progression. This is the perfect role for a qualified Accountant with experience managing a teams and budgets looking to take the next step in their career.
The role:
- Support the Finance Director and the Senior Finance Management Team with the development and implementation of the Finance strategy
- Represent the Finance Department in organisational project teams to support change initiatives.
- Support the Senior Finance Manager with the Finance team operational planning, self-assessment processes and the development, implementation and review of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Contribute to the management of Financial Performance by providing timely and accurate Monthly Management Accounts, budgeting and forecasting
- Provide vital flexibility to assist on various financial projects and provide the organisation with stability
- Support the Director of Finance with other projects as required.
The person:
- You must be qualified CCAB accountancy body (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Self-motivated and well-organised; able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision, and use initiative to solve problems
- Advanced IT skills comprising Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SAP or equivalent
- Be able to work strategically in line with senior management to deliver financial support and strategic planning
- Be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work and meeting the needs of the organisation
