Client:
Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with First Choice Homes Oldham (FCHO) on a high profile recruitment campaign. FCHO are a housing association formed to benefit their local community through providing affordable housing and other essential services. Due to a restructure in their finance and procurement teams, they are looking to add professionals with the vision and drive to improve and develop internal procedures.

Role:
Due to the expansion of the finance team FCHO are looking to appoint several interesting positions, including a head of treasury and planning. You will be responsible for all treasury management and lead on all planning for development and key projects.
Duties will include;

  • Responsible for all treasury management services, preparing and developing treasury strategy, policies and procedures as well as reviewing borrowing requirements and covenant compliance
  • Assisting with the preparation of the final accounts and liaising with internal and external audit as required.  Prepare the financial statements and working papers, to ensure audit compliance
  • Assist on financial appraisal and accounting and reporting for new developments to support FCHO’s development programme and assisting with the rent setting for properties on affordable rents as agreed with the HCA
  • Involvement in long term financial planning, cash flow management and VAT compliance. 
  • Ensuring that all VAT is correctly accounted for with regard to the Investment Programme so that the Housing SORP is fully complied with 
  • Developing and delivering FCHO’s Risk and Assurance framework 
  • Responsible for the provision of FCHO’s insurance arrangements including the tendering and procurement of all insurances and monitoring trends in claims.    
  • Management of finance and procurement staff ensuring compliance and Value For Money is at the heart of the matter

Person:
The successful head of planning and treasury;

  • CCAB qualified
  • Experience of financial planning and including undertaking financial appraisals
  • Experience using Brixx would be beneficial
  • Experience of treasury management is essential
  • Can bring entrepreneurial flair and innovation to the role
