The role:
A charity trust are currently looking for a Health and Safety Officer to join their team. As the Health and Safety Officer, you will provide a comprehensive health and safety service to premises including offices, schools, a college, residential homes, and day centres.. You will be required to travel around Greater Manchester.
Your responsibilities will be to carry out fire risk assessments, H&S audits, and training to achieve excellent levels of compliance. You will also provide general H&S advice and support by ensuring a safe environment for colleagues, customers, and visitors.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Fire Safety knowledge including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
- A good understanding of fire safety management.
- Comprehensive practical knowledge of the application of Health and Safety standards within not-for-profit organisations.
- Good knowledge and understanding of relevant areas of compliance
- Application of health, safety and fire management.
- Accident/incident investigation.
- Good knowledge of MS Word & Excel.
Essential Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- Significant number of years practical experience in a health and safety role
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience of managing contractors.
- NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety or other recognised Fire Risk Assessment qualification
