Location: Manchester Sale Salford Stockport
Salary: £18 - £23 Per Hour GBP
Contract: Initial 12 weeks with potential to go perm
Type: Temporary

The role:

A charity trust are currently looking for a Health and Safety Officer to join their team. As the Health and Safety Officer, you will provide a comprehensive health and safety service to premises including offices, schools, a college, residential homes, and day centres.. You will be required to travel around Greater Manchester. 

Your responsibilities will be to carry out fire risk assessments, H&S audits, and training to achieve excellent levels of compliance. You will also provide general H&S advice and support by ensuring a safe environment for colleagues, customers, and visitors.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Fire Safety knowledge including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
  • A good understanding of fire safety management.
  • Comprehensive practical knowledge of the application of Health and Safety standards within not-for-profit organisations.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of relevant areas of compliance
  • Application of health, safety and fire management.
  • Accident/incident investigation.
  • Good knowledge of MS Word & Excel.

Essential Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Significant number of years practical experience in a health and safety role

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience of managing contractors.
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety or other recognised Fire Risk Assessment qualification

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £18 to £23 per hour via umbrella

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Work Location: On the road
