Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting an Income Officer for a housing association based in Leeds. The role is on an initial 4 week intial contract. The role offers agile working, with one days required in the office and pays £23 - £25 an hour via umbrella agency.

The role:

  • Deliver a comprehensive rent collection service by monitoring a case load of rent accounts for customers in arrears.
  • Managing the arrears process in compliance with group Policies and procedures. 
  • Identify support needs of our customers, offering basic welfare advice / guidance and making referrals to or signposting to external agencies.
  • Ensure that appropriate legal action is taken to recover debt
  • Engaging with external agencies, e.g. local authorities, Department for Works and Pensions, when required.

The person:

  • Experience of income management or debt recovery in a social housing environment
  • Knowledge of welfare benefits
  • Excellent customer service skills
