Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £325 - £350 Per Day GBP
Contract: 5 months
Type: Temporary

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Interim Category Manager to join a Public Sector organisation based in Newcastle. This will be for an initial 5-month contract however could be extended due to workload.

The organisation offers agile/flexible working arrangements as standard, but this post will involve remote working for the duration of the contract.

This position would be ideally suited to someone with experience of Category Management across a range of divisions such as Professional Services, Estates and HR, and strong understanding of PCR2015.

Role:

  • Work closely with the Head of Service to assist with Category Plans
  • Pick up and progress a range of projects and tenders
  • Lead on end-to-end tender processes from developing the initial requirement to contract award
  • Write the tender documents
  • Manage the tender process through to contract signature and project handover

Person

  • Previous Public Sector procurement experience IS essential
  • Stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong range of commercial skills
