Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are recruiting for an Interim Senior IT Category Manager to join a Yorkshire based Public Sector organisation on a 3-month interim basis.

The organisation offers agile/flexible working arrangements as standard, but this post will involve remote working throughout the duration of the contract. This position would suit someone with commercial acumen, who has a successful background within Public Sector IT procurement and can build excellent relationships with stakeholders.

Role:

  • Report directly to the Head of Procurement, lead on driving value from the suppliers selected to implement the chosen solutions
  • Design, implement and manage designated contracts and supplier management frameworks including the controls, governance, and processes
  • Lead on contract management and contract change negotiations
  • Lead on any remedial action and work with IT Assurance and IT Governance to ensure contract rules and controls are adhered to in a timely manner
  • Provide expert advice and guidance during cost negotiation of existing contracts and framework agreements and lead the associated quantitative risk assessment and value management reviews

Person

  • Previous Public Sector procurement experience within the IT category is essential
  • Proven experience and track record of delivering savings and efficiencies within IT/Technology
  • Experience of effectively analysing problems and data, presenting solutions, and information in a meaningful way to a diverse range of stakeholders
