Legal Billing Clerk

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a law firm in Leeds city centre who are looking to identify a Legal Billing Clerk team to join the team on a permanent basis.

Role:

The Legal Billing Clerk role forms part of a busy finance team in the Leeds Office. It holds key responsibilities for processing the company's billing transactions - across a wide range of specialist legal service areas.

Duties will include;

  • Preparing bills in accordance with billing instructions and within the agreed SLA comprising the posting of WIP, disbursement and bill write offs
  • Processing abatements and reversals
  • Producing credit notes
  • Posting of the write off of debt, disbursements and WIP
  • Liaising with Cashiers and Credit Control in relation to bill queries
  • Uploading bills via an e-Billing platforms
  • Responsible for client specific consolidated monthly billing

Person:

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous experience in a similar Billing role
  • Working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Strong ability on Excel (including Pivot Tables and Vlookups)
