Operations Manager (Medicine & ED)

Castlefield Recruitment is pleased to be working in partnership with a large NHS Trust in the North West.  This Operational Lead will be required for a period of three months and will have the skills to support the Trust through winter Operational pressures. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing Emergency and Acute Medicine services including the Emergency Departments, Acute Medical Units, and Ambulatory Emergency Unit
  • Leading on operational delivery, performance and governance to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality patient centred services
  • Responding at a senior level and in a timely fashion to frequent and unpredictable day-today operational issues as required
  • Liaising directly with patients and staff to resolve urgent concerns, including resolving stressful or distressing situations
  • Leading the development of the performance management framework and ensuring its implementation to deliver national and local performance targets within the directorate.

Please note: Operational management experience in the NHS is essential for this role.
