Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Council to recruit a Principal Accountant on an interim basis. This is a work from home opportunity that is looking for

someone to run highlight, analyse and forecast the expenditure of the Council due to COVID-19

Role:
You will work closely with the head of finance to monitor the budgets and external funding of the Council.

Duties will include;

• Being brought in on a project basis/ external resource to assist with the over expenditure during COVID-19 for the council
• Capital bids for funding
• Monitoring accounts for COVID-19 LG expenditure
• Budget monitoring and preparation
• Identifying and monitoring external funding
• Cost centre implications and reporting overspending from the Council

Person:
The successful candidate:

• Experience working in a similar role
• A good understanding of Local Government accounts, policies and legislations
• External funding experience
• Budget preparation experience
