Procurement Contract Manager  

c.£43,000 - £53,000 + benefits 

Client 

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a large NHS organisation, with national coverage, to recruit a Procurement Contract Manager on a permanent basis. The Head office is based in Yorkshire however the company operates an agile/flexible working policy as standard. This post would suit someone with strong staff management skills, has expert OJEU knowledge and is able to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.  

Duties: 

  • Provide leadership to the Contracting team, who are responsible for successfully delivering numerous, complex multi-million-pound invitation to tenders leading to National Framework Agreements available to a major Public Sector body
  • Ensure that all ITT processes and contract management matters are managed via an e-tendering portal with regard to compliance, transparency and fairness
  • Responsible for the completion of Invitation To Tender (ITT) documents, managing evaluation and award through to contract management for the duration of each contract / agreement
  • Lead all aspects of procurement contract management, supporting contract negotiations and ensuring performance delivery, they drive value for money across multiple contracts
  • Support performance monitoring to ensure all contracts / frameworks deliver strategic and operational objectives through innovative contracting models
  • Support the continued professional development of the procurement contracting team, ensuring skill sets within the team are continually improving, monitored and appraised to deliver stakeholder value
  • Manage the procurement contracts team working internally and externally to deliver projects, initiatives and contracts / services to time and in a cost-effective way

Person: 

  • Experience of managing people and teams
  • Demonstrable experience of negotiation, development, monitoring and management of large complex contracts
  • Experience of completing OJEU procurements from initiation of PID through to contract award
  • Excellent analytical and Microsoft Excel skills
