Client:

 

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Procurement Efficiency Manager to join a public sector organisation in South Yorkshire on an initial 6 month contract with the potential for the role to be extended/made permanent.

 

Role:

 

The Procurement Efficiency Manager will help drive forward improvements to help the team provide a more efficient service within the organisation as a whole.

 

Duties will include;

 

  • Create, implement and manage system and process improvements
  • Negotiate contracts and achieve significant cost reductions
  • Manage staff providing systems training in relation to process improvements
  • Liaise with staff across different areas of the organisation
  • Manage relationships with Senior Managers, internal stakeholders and key suppliers
  • Develop and implement procurement plans and strategies
  • Deputising for the Head of Procurement operationally and strategically
  • Collate and analyse reporting information

 

Person

  • Experience of multiple category areas is essential
  • CIPS qualification would be preferred
  • Strong experience working in procurement positions is essential (Project Management experience would also be beneficial)
