Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector organisation in Durham to recruit a Procurement Manager on a permanent, part-time basis. The role is a stand alone position which will be 21 hours per week and can be split up over 5 days.

 

Duties:

  • Support the implementation and management of a procurement strategy
  • Working with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for savings
  • Provide report on savings through procurement strategy and report these to the Finance Director
  • Ensure accuracy standing orders around procurement and the tender process, including involvement with auditors when relevant
  • Prepare tender documentation
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation relating to the role
  • Assist the Management Accountant with finance duties as and when required

Person:

  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) qualified or working towards qualification is essential
  • Fully conversant with the application of EU/UK procurement legislation/tendering processes & procedures
  • Experience of contract, stakeholder & supplier management
