Procurement Specialist | £37,000 | North-East | 1 day per week on-site | 12 month FTC | Public Sector

Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public Sector Organisation in the North-East to recruit a Procurement Specialist to join the team on a fixed-term basis.

The role offers an attractive benefits package and a hybrid working policy; with the requirement to attend the office 1 day per week, with the other 4 days working from home.

Role:

• Manage multiple high-value/high-risk procurements at the same time     
• Support the Senior Procurement Specialist in negotiations e.g. pricing structures and performance mechanisms    
• Provide guidance to Procurement officers on relevant projects
• Ensure all business needs and expectations are met or exceeded   

Individual:

• CIPS Level 5 qualification is essential     
• High level of working knowledge and experience in the public sector   
• Experience of running tender processes from start to finish
