Client: 

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Public sector organisation in Birmingham, to recruit an Professional Services Category Manager. This organisation operates a hybrid working policy, with the ability to work from home 3 days per week.

This position would suit an individual with a track record in the public sector, an understanding of PCR and strong stakeholder management skills.

Role: 

  • Leading on procurement projects within Professional Services procurement category
  • Running above and below threshold tenders from end-to-end ensuring full compliance
  • Utilising PCR2015
  • Setting up robust contracts that offer value for money
  • Showcasing knowledge on all procurement and commercial aspects of specific categories
  • Engaging with stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Keeping a sound understanding of the market to help influence creative, new category strategies

Individual:

  • Public Sector background
  • Great understanding of public contract regulations or utilities contract regulations
  • Tendering knowledge
  • CIPS desirable
  • Manging multiple projects at once
