Castlefield Recruitment are working with an established not-for-profit organisation in West Yorkshire who are seeking to recruit an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to their finance team. They are offering an attractive salary (£40,000 - £48,000) and package including; a competitive pension scheme, hybrid working pattern and access to a range of wellbeing initiatives and discounts.
This is the ideal opportunity for someone that is looking to take a senior role in the finance team and wants to gain invaluable experience of providing high-quality financial management and exposure to senior stakeholders.
The role:
- To provide a high-quality business partnering service supporting members of the senior leadership team and budget holders in the effective management of financial resources
- Work in conjunction with senior leaders and budget holders to support the Business Planning process, prepare the annual budget, provide timely and accurate in-year financial performance reports and forecasting
- Play a leading role in improving financial control and supporting budget holders to ensure there is optimal use of resources
- Preparation of year-end accounts and other financial returns
- Be responsible for the preparation, monitoring, and control of revenue and capital budgets including preparation of financial reports
The person:
- You will be a CCAB/CIMA qualified accountant with significant experience in similar roles
- You will possess a proven track record of dealing with senior stakeholders
- Advanced IT skills comprising Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SAP, Agresso or equivalent
- You will have a proven track record of operating in a finance function within a wider public sector organisation; Education, Local Government etc.
- Be able to demonstrate effective written and presentation skills, with an ability to produce concise and meaningful reports
