Senior Recovery Practitioner – Private Hospital, Central London (Permanent)

Castlefield Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Recovery Practitioner to join our client’s renowned healthcare team in Central London. Duties
As a Senior Recovery Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
• Leading the recovery room team, ensuring all post-operative patients receive safe and effective care.
• Monitoring patient recovery from anaesthesia, including managing airways, pain relief, and vital signs.
• Collaborating with surgeons, anaesthetists, and nursing teams to provide comprehensive care tailored to individual patient needs.
• Supporting junior recovery staff through training, mentorship, and supervision.
• Maintaining up-to-date records in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Ensuring a high standard of infection control and safety protocols are adhered to within the recovery unit.
• Participating in audits, reviews, and the development of best practices within the department.
Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• Current registration with the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) or HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council).
• Extensive experience in a recovery setting, ideally within a private healthcare environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing or mentoring teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• A strong commitment to delivering patient-centred care and continuous improvement.
