Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a housing association who are looking for a Senior Development Officer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Senior Development Manager, who oversees your safety, training, and development.
  • Lead or contribute to projects, collaborating with internal and external partners without direct authority.
  • Keep the Senior Development Manager updated on project progress to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality delivery per contract requirements.

Main duties:

  • Support the Senior Technical Manager in pre-construction tasks, including due diligence, approvals, legal agreements, design reviews, planning, and procurement.
  • Project manage housing developments, overseeing land purchases, contracts, and financial monitoring.
  • Arrange viability appraisals at key project stages.
  • Identify and assess land/property acquisitions, liaising with stakeholders to determine viability.
  • Prepare consultant briefs for feasibility studies, valuations, design, and construction services.
  • Coordinate consultants and contractors to ensure projects meet requirements, timelines, and budgets.
  • Attend site visits and meetings, monitoring progress, quality, and risks, and reporting concerns.
  • Organise and participate in meetings, presentations, and public engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth project delivery.
  • Promote developments via social media, website updates, and marketing materials.
  • Attend handovers, home demonstrations, and defect inspections to ensure quality delivery.
  • Assist in managing standing stock.
  • Support the development, sales, and aftercare teams, covering for colleagues when needed.
