Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority to recruit an Interim Strategic Accountant on an initial 3-6-month interim basis
Duties include;
- Supporting the Head of Finance in managing the Council's MTFS
- Ensuring financial systems are being effectively managed
- Review and update financial planning processes
- Responsible for the 2025/2026 budget preparation and setting
- Meeting budget managers
The person;
- Qualified
- Local government finance experience
- Highly proficient on accounting systems and spreadsheets
- Can work on own initiative
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with senior management and stakeholders
