Advanced Nurse Practitioner | Merseyside | £45,000 - £50,000pa

Castlefield are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join a growing and successful team. The successful ANP will ideally be MSc accredited in Advanced Nursing Practice or currently on a trajectory to complete your MSc.

This is a unique opportunity to provide advanced, person-centred clinical care across urgent and primary care settings. You will work autonomously to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a broad range of conditions - both face-to-face and via telephone consultations, with a caseload that includes adults and children.

About You

  • MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice or be on an identified pathway to achieving full MSc accreditation
  • Independent Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) status
  • Level 7 clinical diagnostics and assessment qualifications
  • Experience in urgent or primary care settings
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while delivering quality patient-centred care

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Practice:

  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment for undifferentiated, undiagnosed, and complex patient needs
  • Conduct assessments from physiological and psychological perspectives.
  • Manage both acute and chronic conditions through clinical reasoning, prescribing, and care planning
  • Provide advice on medications, interactions, side effects, and treatment compliance
  • Prioritise health concerns and respond effectively in urgent/emergency scenarios
  • Promote health and wellbeing through education and self-care strategies

Communication:

  • Demonstrate high-level, compassionate communication with patients, carers, and clinical teams
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring informed consent and appropriate information sharing
  • Anticipate and address communication barriers with innovative solutions

Quality & Governance:

  • Maintain accurate clinical records in line with NMC standards
  • Contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical effectiveness evaluations
  • Engage in clinical supervision and support shared learning across the organisation
  • Participate in incident reviews and use governance frameworks (e.g., RCA) for continuous improvement
