Head of Finance | ClwydAlyn | Permanent

Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with ClwydAlyn in the recruitment of a Head of Finance to lead their finance and procurement teams on a permanent basis.

This is a challenging role that requires a technically astute Finance professional with strong leadership skills, and represents an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to work closely with the Executive Director of Resources to drive positive change and shape the future of ClywdAlyn’s finance and procurement functions.

The role will be responsible for ensuring ClwydAlyn is financially resilient through strong management accounting, budgeting and forecasting practices, while embedding Value for Money across the organisation.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring sufficient internal controls are in place leading to the timely submission of the Group’s Finance Statements and regulatory returns
• Leading the production of the Group’s annual budget and regular forecasting activity
• Ensuring that the 30-year business plan is maintained, including effective scenario planning and monitoring of key economic indicators
• Ensuring the procurement, contract management and social value strategies are aligned with the corporate objectives for ClwydAlyn
• Reporting to Board, Committees and Executives on value for money and social value strategies and performance
• Leading and developing the Finance and Procurement teams, ensuring a vibrant culture and the alignment with ClwydAlyn’s values

Essential criteria:

• CCAB or equivalent with a strong technical skillet
• Proven ability to build influential relationships at senior level
• Strong leadership experience with a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive and implement change
