Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in the recruitment of 3 new Head of Finance opportunities.

NUH are proud to be part of the community, improving the health and wellbeing of people in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire and beyond. NUH care for more than one million people a year across Nottingham City Hospital, the Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC), Ropewalk House and in the community.

The 3 newly-established Heads of Finance (8C) will play key roles in supporting the Surgery and Associated Specialities, Medicine, and Family Health Care Groups. These are critical positions, supporting the Trust’s strategy to deliver outstanding health outcomes and patient and staff experience.

Reporting to the Assistant Director – Finance Management, responsibilities include:

  • Being accountable for the development of true business partnering within the assigned care group and corporate areas
  • Developing long-term productive relationships with the care group leadership whilst acting as a trusted advisor, influencing strategic decision making for the responsible portfolio
  • Advising Senior Managers on complex business cases, and ensuring advice is consistent across the financial management department to enable the development of a one trust approach
  • Being the senior line manager for the relevant Care Group / Corporate Financial Management Team and provide strong leadership across the team

The successful candidates:

  • CCAB qualification with significant Post Qualification experience
  • Significant knowledge of the leadership and management context of the NHS, with a proven track record of developing teams
  • Ability to build and develop influential relationships at a corporate stakeholder level
  • Ability to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust’s “We are here for you” behavioural standards
