About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and knowledgeable HR professional to join our People team at an exciting time of transformation. You’ll play a key role in delivering expert advice and support to managers across the full spectrum of the employee journey - from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations, wellbeing, and organisational change.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical, solution-focused advice to managers on employment matters such as sickness absence, employee relations, recruitment best practice, and staff wellbeing.

  • Oversee the daily workflow of People Administrators, ensuring efficient handling of queries and requests.

  • Contribute to the development and rollout of people-related projects aimed at driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Support the ongoing review and development of people policies to ensure compliance with current employment legislation.

  • Interpret HR policies for managers, providing guidance and ensuring consistent application across teams.

  • Keep up to date with changes in employment law and HR best practice, and apply this knowledge in day-to-day advice and project work.

  • Assist with organisational change activities, including restructures and consultation processes.

  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development Officer to support staff development and training initiatives.


What We’re Looking For

  • A-level education or equivalent

  • CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience in HR

  • Demonstrable background in HR advisory roles, particularly in employee relations

  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and its workplace application

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage at all organisational levels

  • Strong judgement and the ability to challenge constructively when needed

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in using HR systems

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure

  • A supportive, coaching approach to leadership and team development

  • High standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and resilience
