Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Interim Head of Supply Chain on a temporary basis for 4 months.

 

The role:

  • Lead, develop, and manage supply teams, fostering a collaborative environment and promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

  • Analyse procurement and supply chain data to identify trends, support service development, and guide future procurement activity, including enhancing contract and catalogue coverage.

  • Champion procurement best practices across the organisation, promoting the strategic value of procurement and raising its profile as a key business function.

  • Provide expert advice on procurement logistics, compliance, and governance; regularly review and update internal policies to ensure alignment with current legislation and organisational standards

  • Prepare and present tailored supply chain reports for internal leadership groups and external stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making and operational oversight.

 

The person:

  • Senior leadership experience in Supply Chain & Logistics
  • Solid understanding of the full life cycle of supply chains and materials management
  • Previous experience managing staff as well as working in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of electronic procurement systems and development
