Financial Accountant – Manchester – 3 month contract

Overview:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Manchester based housing association in order to recruit a Financial Accountant on an interim basis to support the year end. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will support on the delivery of the annual statutory accounts and the delivery of regulatory requirements for VAT and other taxes. They have hybrid/agile working arrangements in place.

Role:
Delivering the preparation and delivery of the organisation’s external financial reporting
 

Responsibilities;

• Ensuring all control account reconciliations are up to date and accurate, and required actions are taken
• Producing statutory accounts and act as key liaison with external audit. Developing high quality statutory reporting 
• Preparing of monthly cash flow forecasts
• Designing and monitoring internal controls, and implement Internal and External Audit recommendations.
• Seeking to deliver continuous improvement in the delivery of financial operations
• Managing the preparation and submission of tax returns 

Person:
The successful Financial Accountant will be:

• CCAB/CIMA qualification is preferred but not essential
• Experience within social housing would be preferred
• Availability to start immediately would be preferred
