LIMS Project Manager | West Midlands | NHS | 6-12months | £68,000 - £75,000pa
Castlefield is pleased to be partnering with an NHS Trust in the West Midlands. They are looking to source a LIMS Project Manager. The successful LIMS PM will be required to utilise their Healthcare experience for the benefit of the Programme at a key juncture.
Hours: 37.5 hours/5 days
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end project management support for the Pathology LIMS project and associated transformation initiatives
- Apply and uphold PRINCE2-based project management methodologies, ensuring control of budgets, resources, timescales, and risks
- Coordinate with stakeholders across Acute Trusts, community services, Primary Care, and Pathology Networks to drive service improvement and system integration.
- Lead the implementation of both complex and simple change initiatives within Pathology IT services
- Develop and maintain core operational processes aligned to business change requirements
- Identify training needs and support staff through periods of transition and upskilling.
- Provide clear, high-quality management information and reporting to inform decision-making and track benefits realisation
- Engage with Clinicians, managers, and operational leads to embed sustainable change across the Trust and the wider network
Role Requirements:
- Proven experience managing multiple complex projects, within the NHS or healthcare environment
- Experience in Pathology, healthcare IT, or LIMS implementations
- Understanding of NHS policies, structures, and financial instructions
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, Agile, etc.)
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across organisations and professional boundaries
- Experience in using project management tools and producing high-quality documentation and reports
