Director of Operations (Corporate) | NHS | North West | 6 months | Band 9
Castelfield is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Operations to lead theCorporate Division, with overarching responsibility for operational performance, transformation, and assurance across a portfolio of critical support services.
Reporting to the Executive Leadership team, you will provide visible leadership across the Trust’s corporate services within Planned Care.
You will be responsible for:
Driving operational performance and service delivery against KPIs, national standards, and internal benchmarks
Embedding robust performance management frameworks to monitor and improve service effectiveness and efficiency
Leading divisional governance, risk management, compliance and assurance processes
Supporting financial sustainability through productivity, cost improvement, and workforce planning
Working across divisional and system boundaries to support Trust-wide strategic objectives and ICS priorities
Developing data-driven insights and reporting mechanisms to support executive decision-making
Leading corporate service contributions to major change programmes, including digital transformation, sustainability, and workforce modernisation
You will be a strategic and collaborative leader with:
Proven senior NHS experience in operational or corporate service leadership
Strong performance management expertise with a track record of improving service delivery at scale
Demonstrable experience of managing complex budgets, governance, and workforce challenges across corporate portfolios
The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels – from board executives to frontline teams
Excellent analytical skills with a passion for using data to drive improvement
Experience working across organisational boundaries, ideally in system or integrated care environment
