Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Procurement Manager position for a Public Sector organisation in Manchester. The role is hybrid and operates a flexible working policy with site shutdown at Christmas.
The Role:
- Responsible for strategic procurement projects across a range of categories
- Ensure all procurement activity is in line with relevant legislation
- Develop and maintain the contracts register
- Work with key stakeholders to develop new cost saving strategies
- Produce high quality tender documentation in line with Public Sector regulations
- Develop and shape strategies, policies, processes and systems
- Manage the procurement team and act as the key escalation point for any issues or queries
The Person:
- MCIPS qualified or working towards
- Previous experience with Public Sector procurement
- Staff management
- Great communication skills with proven ability of developing supplier relationships
