Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Procurement Manager position for a Public Sector organisation in Manchester. The role is hybrid and operates a flexible working policy with site shutdown at Christmas.

 

The Role:

  • Responsible for strategic procurement projects across a range of categories
  • Ensure all procurement activity is in line with relevant legislation
  • Develop and maintain the contracts register
  • Work with key stakeholders to develop new cost saving strategies
  • Produce high quality tender documentation in line with Public Sector regulations
  • Develop and shape strategies, policies, processes and systems
  • Manage the procurement team and act as the key escalation point for any issues or queries

 

The Person:

  • MCIPS qualified or working towards
  • Previous experience with Public Sector procurement
  • Staff management
  • Great communication skills with proven ability of developing supplier relationships
