Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with University of Lancashire, one of the largest universities in the UK. Tracing its roots back to 1828, University of Lancashire is an international, multi-campus university looking to lead the way in modern learning today.

 

Role:

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sourcing Manager – Estates. Covering a wide range of areas including maintenance, catering and general build you will work with the Estates Directors, Deputy Directors and Project Managers to provide sound procurement advice, deliver projects and manage resources.

 

Duties will include;

  • Take ownership of projects within the Estates category to develop the category vision and deliver the category plan
  • Engage collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Provide sound procurement advice and guidance to stakeholders in line with the University’s Procurement Code
  • Maximise the use of university funds by delivering efficiencies and savings on procurement projects within estates
  • Promote commercial best practice
  • Develop supplier relationships
  • Address non-compliance issues within category and deliver compliant procurements
  • Work collaboratively with wider procurement team to contribute to the delivery of University of Lancashire’s 2021 – 2028 strategic objectives
  • Promote responsible procurement by engaging with SME’s and the local community

 

Person:

 

The successful Sourcing Manager – Estates:

  • Experience of delivering multiple high value/high risk procurement projects
  • MCIPS or equivalent
  • Track record of delivering savings
  • Public Sector procurement experience
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Working knowledge of Estates and Facilities category
