Castlefield is working with a medico-legal organisation looking to expand its services by developing a new psychology offering. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Educational Psychologist or Neuropsychologist to join as an Associate Expert Witness, undertaking assessments and preparing reports for medico-legal cases.
This opportunity would suit a clinically experienced professional interested in applying their expertise within the medico-legal sector. Previous Expert Witness experience is not essential, as training and support can be provided to help you develop your skills in this area.
The Opportunity
- Prepare high-quality medico-legal reports for both claimant and defendant cases
- Work predominantly remotely, with travel required to conduct initial face-to-face assessments
- Contribute to the development of a growing psychology service within an established medico-legal organisation
- Manage a flexible Associate caseload alongside existing clinical commitments
- Full report writing support is available
About You
- A minimum of six years' experience working as an Educational Psychologist or Neuropsychologist
- Experience undertaking Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments is essential for Educational Psychologists
- Strong assessment, analytical and report-writing skills
- The ability to commit regular time to medico-legal work alongside existing professional responsibilities
- Willingness and ability to travel within the UK to undertake initial face-to-face client assessments
Previous medico-legal or Expert Witness experience is welcome but not required.
Candidates with a strong clinical background who are interested in developing a career in Expert Witness work are encouraged to apply.
