Interim Endoscopy Management Expert | Yorkshire | c£400-£500pd
Castlefield is delighted to be exclusively supporting a respected Healthcare organisation with an Endoscopy Management expert to lead the strategic, clinical and operational delivery of a safe, effective and high‑performing Endoscopy Service. Drive governance, workforce development, quality improvement and service transformation in line with national standards and organisational priorities.
Duties:
- Provide visible clinical leadership, ensuring safe, evidence‑based endoscopy practice
- Oversee day‑to‑day operational delivery, meeting activity, access and productivity targets
- Lead capacity/demand planning, room utilisation and patient flow optimisation
- Resolve operational pressures and support business cases for service growth
- Maintain robust governance systems and compliance with national/JAG standards
- Lead audits, RCAs, complaint investigations and quality‑improvement activity
- Ensure learning is embedded and presented through effective governance oversight
- Lead and support the multidisciplinary team, ensuring safe staffing and skill mix
- Build a strong training culture for endoscopists, nurses and trainees
- Ensure compliance with JAG Endo1, eLfH modules and recognised competency frameworks
- Develop and deliver a forward‑looking endoscopy strategy
- Manage the endoscopy budget effectively and identify safe efficiency opportunities
- Act on feedback, complaints and experience data to drive improvements.
- Promote dignity, privacy and clear communication throughout the patient journey.
- Oversee decontamination processes and estates collaboration
Key Performance Areas
- Patient safety, outcomes, waiting times and productivity
- Accreditation, audit compliance, incident/complaint management and IPC standards
- Workforce utilisation, training compliance, equipment availability and financial performance
Person Specification (Essential)Qualifications
- Registered healthcare professional with unrestricted registration
- Evidence of CPD relevant to endoscopy and leadership
- Leadership/management qualification or equivalent senior experience
Skills & Knowledge
- In‑depth understanding of endoscopy standards, JAG requirements and governance
- Excellent leadership, communication and decision‑making skills
- Strong organisational and financial awareness in complex clinical environments
