Electrical Estates Officer - £53,032 – £60,686 - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Atlas is seeking an experienced Electrical Estates Officer to lead the operational management of electrical services across its acute hospital estates portfolio.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled electrical engineering professional to play a pivotal role in maintaining safe, compliant and resilient healthcare infrastructure across a complex NHS environment.

Working within the Estates Department, you'll lead electrical estates operations, manage specialist teams and contractors, and ensure critical infrastructure continues to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Role

Reporting to the Estates Manager, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of electrical services across acute hospital sites, ensuring compliance, operational performance and continuous improvement of the electrical estate.

Key responsibilities include:

· Managing the safe and efficient operation of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical infrastructure.

· Leading planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes and electrical compliance activities.

· Developing electrical asset management plans and contributing to backlog maintenance programmes.

· Managing electrical estates teams, resources and contractor performance.

· Acting as an Authorised Person and providing specialist technical advice on electrical safety and compliance.

· Supporting capital projects from planning and design through to commissioning.

· Ensuring compliance with statutory legislation, NHS guidance and Health Technical Memoranda (HTMs).

· Leading on incident response, electrical contingency planning and emergency preparedness.

· Producing performance reports, compliance data and strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.

About You

We're looking for a highly capable electrical engineering professional with strong leadership skills and experience managing complex estates services.

You will ideally have:

· Degree-level qualification, HNC/ONC or equivalent experience in an Electrical Engineering discipline.

· 18th Edition Electrical Regulations qualification.

· A recognised electrical apprenticeship with ongoing professional development.

· Significant experience managing electrical engineering services within a large, complex organisation.

· Extensive knowledge of electrical compliance,estates legislation and Health & Safety requirements.

· Experience managing specialist contractors, budgets and service performance.

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

· Experience of CAFM systems, Building Management Systems (BMS) and estates reporting processes.

Professional membership with organisations such as CIBSE or IHEEM, along with management or project management qualifications, would be advantageous.
