Position: Social Value and ESG Specialist

Location: North East such as Newcastle / Sunderland or Nottingham – Constellia works with our partners, post training, on a hybrid model, 3 days a week in our office.
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum + benefits package

Responsibilities
• Lead the implementation and continuous development of Constellia's Social Value and ESG strategy
• Support public sector clients to define meaningful Social Value outcomes and achievable delivery plans
• Identify priority areas for social impact and embed these within organisational and client strategies
• Advise clients and suppliers on Social Value requirements, public sector legislation, procurement frameworks and best practice
• Embed Social Value and ESG methodologies into procurement strategies, tender processes, evaluation criteria and contract management activities
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, SMEs, VCSEs and internal stakeholders to drive collaboration and maximise impact
• Support the Innovative Technologies Council and other engagement forums to promote best practice and innovation across Framework Authorities and suppliers
• Ensure clear communication of Social Value expectations, scoring methodologies, risks, opportunities and delivery requirements throughout the procurement lifecycle
• Lead post-award monitoring, performance reviews and continuous improvement activities to maximise Social Value outcomes
• Develop and maintain frameworks for impact measurement, performance reporting and Social Value performance monitoring
• Analyse and communicate Social Value outcomes, risks, opportunities and achievements to internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with Social Value, ESG and public sector procurement legislation, standards and best practice
• Monitor emerging policy, legislation and market developments, providing guidance and recommendations to stakeholders
• Deliver training, workshops and guidance to build Social Value and ESG capability across Constellia and its supplier marketplace
• Promote success stories, case studies and innovative approaches that demonstrate the value created through Constellia's procurement activities
Technical Requirements
• Experience developing and delivering SV and ESG strategies within either a public or private sector organisation
• Experience integrating sustainability and social value into procurement processes, strategies, or contract delivery
• Strong understanding of Public Contracts Regulations, the New Procurement Act, and associated public sector procurement frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing clear reports, guidance, and stakeholder updates
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to analyse data and present information effectively
Personal Specification
• Training in Social Value measurement tools or digital platforms (e.g., Thrive, Loop, Social Value Portal, WhatImpact)
• Passionate about SV and ESG excellence
• Strong communication and relationship management skills
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, engage diverse stakeholders, and support capability building across teams and suppliers
