Cancer Services Manager | NHS | 3-6m Fixed Term Contract | 4 days on site
Castlefield are delighted to be partnering with an NHS provider who are seeking a Cancer Services Management specialist, for a 3 to 6 month assignment. This is an exciting juncture for the organisation as they strive for excellence within Cancer Care. They are looking for an experienced Cancer Services Manager with hands on experience within Healthcare
The role is Mon - Fri with a minimum of 4 days on site
Duties:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Cancer Services, ensuring safe, effective and high‑performing pathways across all tumour sites
- Oversee delivery of national cancer standards, leading robust performance management, validation processes and recovery actions
- Direct multidisciplinary teams to optimise diagnostic and treatment flow, resolving operational barriers and strengthening patient experience
- Lead service improvement and transformation programmes, expanding capacity, modernising pathways and embedding evidence‑based practice
- Deliver high‑quality reporting, assurance and analysis to executives, ICS partners and regulatory bodies, informing Trust‑wide decision‑making
Essential experience:
- NHS Operational leadership, within a specialist Cancer service or specialist centre.
- Demonstrable experience leading NHS services as part of a triumvirate team.
- Strong engagement skills, with an ability to enhance positive behaviours within the team
