Castlefield are currently recruiting a Procurement Officer for a Public Sector organisation in South Manchester.
Role:
- Support the Procurement Manager in delivering a compliant, efficient and value-driven procurement service aligned to legislative requirements and recognised best practice.
- Ensure all procurement activity is undertaken in accordance with organisational policies, contract procedure rules and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Provide expert procurement advice, guidance and support to managers and stakeholders across the organisation, promoting best practice and effective decision-making.
- Maintain and continuously develop the Contract Register and Procurement Forward Plan, ensuring accuracy and supporting effective procurement planning.
- Lead and support procurement projects that deliver value for money, cost efficiencies, social value and improved service outcomes.
- Identify and utilise appropriate procurement routes, frameworks and purchasing arrangements to achieve compliant and commercially advantageous outcomes.
- Promote effective contract management, supplier relationship management and supplier development to maximise contract performance and organisational value.
- Analyse expenditure data and procurement activity to identify opportunities for savings, efficiencies, service improvements and strategic procurement initiatives.
- Ensure procurement exercises incorporate customer voice, statutory consultation requirements, equality, diversity and inclusion considerations, SME engagement and wider social and economic value objectives
Person:
- Experience working in a Public Sector or highly regulated environment
- Experience with tendering processes and knowledge of frameworks
- PA2023 / PCR2015
- Stakeholder management
- Experience working with e-procurement systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with wider procurement team
