The Role:

Working in Welbeck Cambridge’s state of the art facility, we are looking to source a confident, patient centred Registered Children's Nurse for their brand-new hospital site in Cambridge to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care across a busy outpatient environment. You will support smooth clinic flow, undertake wound reviews and nursing procedures within competence, and act as a professional role model for safe, compassionate practice. Working closely with consultants and senior nurses, you will ensure every patient receives a well‑coordinated, dignified experience from arrival to discharge

Duties will include:

• Deliver safe, effective and evidence‑based nursing care across outpatient clinics, ensuring high standards of practice are consistently maintained
• Support smooth clinic flow by coordinating patient movement, managing varying workloads, and responding to changes in the clinical environment
• Undertake wound assessments, dressings and nursing procedures within competence, following surgical instructions, local policy and the NMC Code
• Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical documentation and uphold patient confidentiality in line with GDPR and centre governance requirements
• Act as a professional role model, promoting a culture of safety, dignity and respect while supporting junior staff, students and new starters
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, escalating concerns to senior colleagues and  adhering to agreed protocols and local policies
• Work collaboratively with consultants and multidisciplinary teams, chaperoning  examinations, assisting with minor procedures and coordinating  investigations.

The Person:

The successful Outpatient Registered Paediatric Nurse:

• RNC‑registered childrens Nurse with evidence of ongoing professional development
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills, able to prioritise effectively  in a busy outpatient setting
• Excellent communication skills, confident in engaging with patients, clinicians and  wider MDT colleagues
• A  proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively, maintaining  professionalism under pressure
• Display Welbeck values through compassionate, safe and patient‑centred practice
