Role:

Atlas are seeking an experienced and ambitious Procurement Manager to lead and develop the procurement function during an exciting period of growth and transformation.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and working under the strategic direction of the Director of Finance, the Procurement Manager will lead the delivery of procurement and contract management services across Atlas and its principal client.

The role has responsibility for overseeing procurement activity covering:

• Approximately £50 million of consumables expenditure supporting our principal client.
• Approximately £40 million of internal expenditure across a diverse portfolio of operational services.
• The wider management and oversight of significant external contracts and supplier relationships.

This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for developing procurement strategy, ensuring legislative compliance, driving value for money, managing commercial risk and supporting the continued growth of the organisation.

Duties will include;

• Managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle
• Overseeing strategic sourcing activities, contract management arrangements and supplier performance across a broad portfolio of services
• Providing leadership to the Procurement Team, ensuring resources are aligned to the needs of both Atlas and our principal client
• Working closely with senior stakeholders, budget holders and operational leaders
• Ensuring procurement activity delivers optimum value, robust governance and high-quality outcomes
• Managing key external procurement service arrangements, including the organisation's strategic relationship with One LSC
• Ensuring contracted services, performance standards and associated resources are effectively managed to support organisational objectives

The successful Procurement Manager will have a proven track record of:

• Leading procurement and contract management functions.
• Managing complex and high-value procurement exercises.
• Developing procurement strategies and delivering measurable savings.
• Building strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.
• Working within regulated procurement environments.
• Leading and developing teams through change and organisational growth
