Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Building Surveyor for a housing association. The role is home based, covering a patch across Yorkshire and the North East. The salary is £48,000 - £54,000 per annum, and mileage for travel can be claimed from home to site.
The role:
- Plan and deliver maintenance programmes for planned and cyclical works, delivering projects from inception to completion
- Prepare specifications of schedules of works for planned improvements and corrective works in line with CDM regulations
- Establish and maintain successful relationships with contractors, ensuring works are delivered to a high standard and provide value-for-money
- Conduct stock condition surveys, using data to inform planned maintenance programmes
What you need:
- Experienced Building Surveyor in a social housing or similar residential environment
- Minimum HNC/HND in a building related discipline
- Experience of delivering planned works projects and major repairs
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations and health and safety
- Strong knowledge of building maintenance and construction processe
