Castlefield are currently recruiting a Procurement Officer for an organisation in South Manchester. The role is hybrid and benefits include study support, free onsite parking and competitive holiday and pension packages.
Role:
- Lead end-to-end procurement both above and below thresholds, ensuring compliance with regulations, organisational policies, and procurement best practice.
- Support the Procurement Manager in developing and implementing category strategies and VfM initiatives that deliver measurable benefits.
- Coordinate and manage procurement pipelines, effectively prioritising workloads to ensure the timely delivery of a diverse portfolio of procurement projects.
- Assist in the management of contracts and supplier relationships, including contract renewals, performance evaluation, and risk management activities.
- Maintain and utilise e-procurement systems and digital tools to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and transparency of procurement processes.
- Support the Procurement Manager in analysing spend data and producing management reports, contributing to financial reporting, KPI monitoring, and informed decision-making.
- Provide expert procurement advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, while supporting the delivery of procurement training and awareness initiatives as required.
- Drive continuous improvement by reviewing procurement procedures, identifying opportunities for innovation, and implementing enhancements to strengthen procurement outcomes.
Person:
- Experience working in a Public Sector or highly regulated environment
- Experience with tendering processes and knowledge of frameworks
- PA2023 / PCR2015
- CIPS or working towards desirable
- Experience working with e-procurement systems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with wider procurement teams and stakeholders
