Castlefield Recruitment currentlyrecruiting a Supported Scheme Manager (Homelessness Services) for a housingassociation based in Bradford on a permanent basis, paying £33,000 per annum.This is a site-based position, and you will be based between three sites in centralbradford, all within walking distance.
The role:
· Manage a team of 4 Housing Support Workers toensure service users develop financial, life and tenancy skills, as well asincreasing their resilience, independence and confidence
· Ensure that income is maximised through proactivevoid management, rent and collection working closely with the housingmanagement and income teams.
· Lead the day to day operational demands, consideringthe best outcomes and appropriate actions in the prevention of homelessness
· To provide knowledge, information and advice toservice users in relation to a range of areas such as homelessness and housingissues, welfare rights and debt advice, housing benefit and universal creditand make ensure the team make appropriate referrals
· To ensure compliance with statutory legislation,regulations and keep updated of relevant changes in relation to homelessness,housing benefit and universal credit, welfare reform and any other area ofsocial policy that can affect an individual’s wellbeing, financial security andability to support themselves and their families and sustain theiraccommodation
What you need:
· Experience of working with homelessness and vulnerablegroups in a supported housing environment
· Proven staff management experience
· Knowledge of housing benefits
