Castlefield Recruitment are partnering with Barnsley Council, an award-winning organisation supporting 243,000 residents that puts people at the heart of everything they do. As they look to the future with their newly created Technology and Innovation department, a key hire key hire will be an additional Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Developer.
The council continue their MS Dynamics 365 journey, which started in 2023. As a product, it has been implemented into areas such as case management, Customers Portals, Contact Centre and Field Service. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will expand the reach of the product offering into operational based teams by creating solutions that improve the day-to-day working responsibilities of your colleagues and the public the council serves.
The Role:
- Design, develop, test and implement solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Power Virtual Agents and related technologies.
- Utilise Power Automate to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows.
- Develop custom visuals and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- Be responsible for managing resources in Azure DevOps.
- Provide specialist advice on Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient Power Platform solutions.
- Lead on developing customizations, integrations, and extensions for Power Platform applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and lead on integration with external data sources and APIs.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
- Ensure the security and compliance of the solutions developed.
- Be responsible for coaching and leading a development team, to collaboratively deliver high-quality solutions.
- Co-ordinate responses to incidents, including channelling team specialists for resolution, monitoring activity and keeping customers appraised of progress.
- Support the investigation and resolution of issues and performance monitoring.
- Authorise and monitor access to applications and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Manage change and lead on testing for new developments, integrations and upgrades.
The Person:
- Extensive experience as a Power Platform Developer, with a focus on Dynamics 365, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Pages and Data verse
- Experience in using programming languages such as C#, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Accountability for delivery and to mentor junior developer staff
- Relevant industry experience in listed technological skills
