Castlefield Recruitment are partnering with a York based organisation to appoint a Financial Accountant on a fixed term contract basis –initial 9 months. The organisation requires onsite presence twice a week in their state of the art offices which are easily accessible via car and public transport. They offer market leading benefits package including excellent pension and holiday entitlement.
The role:
· Preparation of financial reports
· Prepare variance analysis of financial performance across different areas of the organisation for internal reporting
· Collate and analyse large data sets for financial returns to external bodies
· Provide front line expertise, detailed advice and guidance on costings to internal and external customers
· Act as a specialist point of contact for dealing with complex data and information sources, providing interpretation and analysis.
· Research and form recommendations on accounting/tax treatment associated with new income streams
· Line management of direct reports
The person:
· Professionally qualified accountant (e.g.,CIPFA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA).
· Demonstrable commitment to ongoing professional and leadership development.
· Significant expertise in preparing financial reports for senior management
